Safety: Both steel and synthetic winchlines give a very small amount of stretch, the equivalent of less than 1% at breaking pressure. This tiny amount of stretch stores kinetic energy that is released when the line breaks. Since steel winchline is much heavier than synthetic winchline, the force of that stored energy is devastatingly powerful, particularly dangerous with people near. The synthetic line is so light and therefore stores less kinetic energy, which when released, the winchline virtually falls to the ground with a fraction of the force of steel. For this reason, 4×4 offroad racing sanctioning bodies do not allow steel cables because of their inherent danger. Synthetic winchlines are now mandatory. (more…)

While the existing ARB fridge has served us well, in recent years it became obvious there was a niche in the

It’s been on my mind for probably about 8 months now to offer replacement rear links for both the WD21 (pre 1996) and R50 (1996+) Nissan Pathfinders.
These new links would use Johnny Joints which would allow your suspension to articulate much easier over the stock rubber bushings, also being that these trucks are starting to get up there in thier years, replacing your factory stock links and beat up bushings with new links and rebuildable johnny joints doesn’t sounds like a half bad idea. but I want to know what you think.
